According to 2018 statistics in select countries, the country with the most cases of anxiety in those countries, was the USA, with 45,2 million women and 30,7 million men, with a combined total of 75,9 million.
Second on the list is China (44,5 million), followed by Brazil (42,6m), India (32,1m), Germany (16,5m), the UK (12,2m), Mexico (11,4m), France (11m), Italy (5,9m) and Russia (5,9m).
South Africa ranks 11th on the list, just behind Russia.
In all the countries that participated in the study, women suffer much more from anxiety disorder than their male counterparts.
